HOW TO MAKE PULICHA KEERAI CHUTNEY

Kulicha keerai is a kind of green leafy it is well known as "Gongura". This recipe is simple to make. It has many health benefits in it. This green leaf gives sour taste.

It served with white rice topped with nallenai.



PULICHA KEERAI CHUTNEY

Recipe Type: Side dish for Rice

Preparation Time: 15 mins

Cooking Time: 20 mins

Total Time: 35 mins

Serves: 4

Recipe Ingredients:

Oil - 1tbsp

Garlic - 1

Red Chilli - 2

Salt to taste

Kulicha Keerai - 1 kattu


METHOD:

Clean (Take only the leaves and remove stem) and Wash the leaves alone keep aside.


Add oil, red chilli, garlic saute well

Add kulicha keerai leaves , salt mix well 

Add water little mix well till cooked

Mix well till water absorbs. Off cool down and grind paste

Serve with white rice topped with nallenai

SEV PURI | SEV POORI CHAAT

Sev Puri is one of the popular chaat item snacks recipe. Chaat Items are my all-time favorite dish. It is very popular and tasty items. These dishes refers to marwadi items. Whenever i go out i love to eat some chaat items are my favorite.

Sev Puri

Recipe Type: Chat Items Snacks

Preparation Time: 15 mins

Cooking Time: 15 mins 

Total Time: 30 mins

Serves: 1

Recipe Ingredients:

Puri - 4

Potato - 2

Black Channa - 10

Tomato sauce - 1 tsp

Oma Podi - little

Mint leaves – ½ kattu

Coriander leaves – ½ kattu

Ginger little

Green chilli – 1

Salt to taste


METHOD:

Potato Masala - Boil potato. In a bowl add boiled potato, salt, red chilli powder semi mash in hand.

Green Chutney - Clean and wash coriander leaves, mint leaves. Grind coriander leaves, mint leaves, ginger, g.chilli, salt.


Arrange puri in plate and make small whole in center

Add potato masala inside puri

Add some soaked and boiled black channa
Add little green chutney inside puri

Add little tomato sauce inside puri

Add oma podi inside puri and Serve

RAVA UPMA

Rava upma is made using white rava and water. It is the popular breakfast or dinner recipe in south Indian cuisine. Rava upma is simple, easy and quick dish in busy morning. Many people call rava in other names as semolina, suji etc. There are many varieties of upma can be done.

Served with sambhar, coconut chutney or tomato sauce or pickle.

Recipe Ingredients:

Rava - 2 glass

Water - 5 and half glass

Oil - 1 tbsp

Kadalai Paruppu - 2 tsp

Green chilli - 5

Curry leaves- 1 spring

Salt to taste

METHOD:

Rava:Water = 1:3

Roast rava in little oil

Add oil, kadalai paruppu, curry leaves, green chilli, salt mix well 

Add water , boil comes add roasted rava slowly and mix well without lumps till upma consistency
Then off stove and close. While serving once again heat upma add little oil and mix well. Serve hot

APPALAM KADALAI PARUPPU KOOTU

Appalam Kadalai Paruppu Kootu is a traditional recipe and simple too. The dish is a combination of appalam and boiled kadalai paruppu. 

Served with white rice and as a poriyal both tastes great.

Preparation Time: 10 mins

Recipe Ingredients:

Popular Appalam - 8

Oil - 1 tbsp

Chopped Onion - 1/4

Chopped Tomato - 1/2

Salt to taste

Curry leaves - 1 spring

Tumeric Powder - pinch

Sambhar Powder - 1/2 tsp

Green Chilli - 2

Kadalai Paruppu - 1/2 hand (boiled)

Grind Paste:

Grated Coconut - 1/2 hand

Kasa Kasa - 1 tsp

Cinnamom - 1

Clove - 1

Sombu - 1 tsp

Ginger - little

Garlic - 2


METHOD:





Add oil, onion, curry leaves, green chilli, salt saute well

Add tomato saute well
Add grind paste, sambhar powder

Add water mix well and boil till raw smell goes

Add boiled kadalai paruppu mix well

Add fried popular appalam broken pieces

Mix well till 2 sec and off

BREAD UPMA | WHEAT BREAD UPMA

Wheat Bread Upma is one of the tasty and simple recipe. This upma is one of my favorite dish. I used wheat bread as it is healthy ingredient can also use other bread too. We can serve this upma both as a breakfast and snacks too. When kids came from school we can prepare this upma and serve hot. It taste great. This is a simple bread upma without adding any kind of masala.

Preparation Time: 10 mins

Cooking Time: 15 mins

Total Time: 25 mins

Serves: 1

Recipe Ingredients:

Wheat bread - 4 (i used wheat bread any kind of bread can be used)

Oil - 1 tbsp

Kadalai Paruppu - 2 tsp

Red Chilli - 3

Chopped onion - 1/2

Curry leaves - 1 spring

Chopped tomato - 2

Salt - to taste

METHOD:

Remove the sides of bread slices. Make small square pieces or crumble with hand.

In pan add oil, kadalai paruppu, curry leaves, red chilli, onion, salt, saute well

Add tomato saute well


When tomato becomes mushy
Add bread pieces and mix well

Serve Hot

BEETROOT PORIYAL

Beetroot Poriyal is a tasty recipe pairs with curd rice. Beetroot has many helath benefits in it. All poriyal varieties my mom do often at home. This poriyal is easy to cook not much of ingredients but it takes some time to cook. In my home all are beetroot lovers. There are many ways to do beetroot but i love this method it is tasty too when compared with other methods.


BEETROOT PORIYAL



Recipe Type: Poriyal

Preparation Time: 15 mins

Cooking Time: 30 mins

Total Time: 45 mins

Serves: 4

Recipe Ingredients:

Beetroot - 1/2 kg

Sambhar Powder - 1 1/4 tsp

Turmeric Powder - pinch

Salt to taste

METHOD:

Wash the veggies nicely. Remove the sides and Make two halves. Chop well as shown below.

Wash beetroot well and Cut both sides and Chop into small pieces

In a pan add oil, sambhar powder, salt, turmeric powder mix well

Add chopped beetroot saute well

At this stage when beetroot changes color. Remove

Serve with curd rice

KOLLU PARUPPU CHUTNEY | HORSE GRAM CHUTNEY

Kollu paruppu is very healthy ingredient and this chutney is quickly made with less ingredients. It is called as "Horse gram" or "Kollu paruppu". This chutney has medicinal properties. It has many health benefits such as reduces obesity, cholesterol etc. Mainly kollu is given to horse as food. Many make kadaiyal, masiyal, podi using horse gram. It is very healthy recipe to human as well as to animal. I earlier period grandma used this ingredient in high level as it gives strength.

Serve with white rice topped nallenai.

Recipe Ingredients:

Kollu Paruppu - 3 full hand

Garlic - 2

Curry leaves - 1 spring

Red Chilli - 2

Pepper - 8

Small Onion - 4

Cumin - 1/2 tsp

Dhania - 1/2 tsp


METHOD:


Heat oil, pepper, cumin, dhania , garlic,red chilli, curry leaves, small onion saute well

Add sauted items with boiled kollu paruppu, salt. Cool down 

Grind into smooth paste (Dont add too much water)


Serve with hot white rice topped nallenai

Bhel puri is apt evening snacks recipe and it is popular street food snacks. Bhel puri has freshly added veggies and green leaves. Mostly all people love to taste chat items. Wherever i see the chat shop always full of crowd.

Preparation Time: 15 mins

Recipe Ingredients:

Puffed Rice (White puri) - 2 hand

Chopped onion - 1

Chopped Tomato - 1

Chopped Cucumber - 1

Chopped, Boiled Potato - 1

Salt  to taste

Red chilli powder - 1 tsp (adjust according to your spice level)

Lemon juice - 1 tsp

Oma podi - little

Tomato sauce - little

Coriander leaves - little

For Green Chutney:

Mint leaves – ½ kattu

Coriander leaves – ½ kattu

Ginger little

Green chilli – 1


Salt to taste

METHOD:

 Green Chutney - Clean and wash coriander leaves, mint leaves. Grind coriander leaves, mint leaves, ginger, g.chilli, salt.



In a bowl add chopped onion, chopped tomato, chopped cucumber, boiled chopped potato, broken paani puri pieces, mint-coriander leaves chutney,salt, red chilli, puri, tomato sauce,lemon juice, salt , oma podi, coriander leaves mix well
